More about ACMC -- Who we support, our partners, and events in our service area...

The Anacortes Community Maritime Organization is dedicated to the communities in Northwest Puget Sound.  Essentially, our service area is Skagit and Island counties.  Communities in these counties include:

  • Anacortes
  • La Conner
  • Mt Vernon
  • Burlington
  • Sedro Wooley
  • Oak Harbor
As noted, our stated mission is to build a community where good friends meet to celebrate, learn, share and preserve our rich maritime knowledge and tradition and to explore the waters of Northwest Puget Sound.

In this effort, we fully support the following groups, events, and activities:

  • Anacortes Small Boat Center
  • Anacortes Marine Heritage Center
  • Anacortes Library - Maritime Collection & Marine Speaker Series
  • The Traditonal Small Craft Association - Puget Sound Chapter
  • Center For Wooden Boats - Cama Beach North Campus
  • Children Museum - Burlington Anacortes Boys & Girl Club
  • Anacortes Park & Recreation Sailing Youth Program
  • Anacortes Waterfront Festival
  • Anacortes Arts & Craft Festival
  • La Conner Marine Swamp Meet
  • La Conner Antique Boat & Car Show
  • The Northwest Corner Woodworker Association
  • Skagit County Marine Resource Committee - Fidalgo Bay Day
  • Port of Anacortes

Over the past seven years, ACMC has strived to promote maritime education in the community, including scholarships to boys & girls club, contributions to maritme related organizations and activities, participated in the planning of several events, including the Port of Anacortes 10 year plan; and, in general, we have strived to form parnterships with service organizations, government entities, commercial businesses, and professionals in the marine trade.

Perhaps, we can help...

If you think our non-profit organization can serve you in the promotion of maritime education, please reach us through the Contact Us button on the Home web page.

Sincerely - Lyndon E. Greene
